The Renaissance Hotel is located in the Arboretum shopping area in north Austin. Built in 1986, this hotel has over 450 rooms on ten floors. Two years after our last convention, the hotel underwent a renovation.
Austin has hosted several Beta Sigma Phi conventions at this hotel, including the ones in 1993 and 2003.
The Renaissance is famous for it's nine-story open atrium. The glass ceiling bathes the area below with sunlight. Several gathering areas as well as an aquarium are included on the space.
The hotel has a restaurant, a deli, and a bar. There are also several fine dining and casual restaurants within a mile of the location, including Eddie V's (seafood), P.F. Chang's (Chinese), and Rudy's (BBQ).
Other amenities include free self parking and 65,000 square feet of meeting space, where our events will be taking place. For those of you traveling by air, the Renaissance Hotel is served by Super Shuttle.
